Why Weekday Weddings Work: Real Wedding at Lizton Lodge

A Packed House on a Wednesday

6/18/2025

Our last post was about the pros and cons of a weekday wedding, with variables such as guest attendance, scheduling, and budgeting factors.

In this post we want to highlight a weekday wedding that happened just yesterday to show that week day weddings can be just as beautiful and well attended as weekend ones.

Without further ado here is a highlight of the weekday 6/18/2025 wedding held at the Lizton Lodge!

The mood was cheerful and pleasant during the getting ready process, as the bridesmaids had mimosas while doing their wedding hair and makeup, cheering, laughing and giggling, the groomsmen played some basketball in the ballroom before they had to get ready, enjoying some ice cold beers provided by the Lodge. Bridesmaids, groomsmen and other immediate family members had a fun little adventure exploring the 22,000 square foot estate while setting up decor and reception table centerpieces throughout the wedding estate.

Their color palette was of natural tones, our forest green table runners looked beautiful strewn across the white table linens, paired with their wedding floral palette of bright springy colors of yellow, pink, white and orange. They also had topiaries brought in which gave the whole place a country club estate with a garden greenhouse vibe that would be hard to replicate anywhere else without spending a lot more money on the wedding day.

One of the biggest interests of both the bride and groom was their love of pickleball! They even had pickleballs for wedding favors! Everyone loved them!

Lack of attendance because of the weekday wedding factor was not an issue, all guests were present and accounted for during the big moment when both of them said “I do”.

Then subsequently the reception and celebration vibe was amazing! Some people decided to take the day off work so they could let loose a little more, while others simply enjoyed the celebration in honor of the newlyweds, a dull, drab and quiet party that was not. Any fears that the wedding reception would be slow were quickly put to rest!

With full guest attendance, beautiful decor, and a high-energy celebration, it’s clear that weekday weddings can be just as magical—if not more so—than their weekend counterparts. So if you're considering a weekday for your big day, take heart: it might just be the perfect way to have a unique, budget-friendly, and unforgettable wedding.
